The bright sun beat mercilessly down onto Tortuga's shores. Somewhere down beneath the docks, the captain lay on his side in the white sand, hat askew, gazing idly up at the hot light that filtered through the gaps in the wood.
He couldn't remember how he'd come to be there, but his effects were intact, he was intact, and so frankly, he didn't care. Nights that became lost for good were nothing new.
The world around him was becoming uncomfortably clear, the few dregs of gritty rum left in the bottle he'd found by his side terribly inadequate for his purposes. Swiping his tongue over dry lips, he heaved himself to his feet, slung fine sand from the folds of his hat, and sauntered off into the center of the great, glorious mess of a town that was Tortuga.
Most of the pubs were closed, the ladies and gentlemen of ill repute that they catered to shut away like the creatures of the night that they were. Skirting a stray dog that darted between his legs in pursuit of an unfortunate rat, the pirate hopped up to the doors of the countless bars and brothels that lined the grimy street, peering through smudged windows and tugging at the handles of locked doors.
His attempts were fruitless-- the taverns lining this street were shut tightly, dormant for the day. Mumbling vaguely to himself, he sank down on a convenient corner and leaned against the sun-heated stone of a deserted shop, pulling his hat over his eyes.

The sun was warm. Even if the day was still quite young, one could quite easily tell that it was going to be a hot day. Leaning on the window sill of her rather run down building, she wiped the sweat from her brow and eyed the sky. A slight breeze blew, but it was just as hot as the still hair. The woman found herself wishing that she had dressed in less layers or that she had pulled all of her hair up, rather than just some. It was no wonder her boy had left to play in the bay for the day.
The woman, better know by Elizabeth Swann, was dressed in a rather loose fitting outfit. A brown vest, a loose white pirate shirt, and a pair of brown pants, many would argue that she would better pass for a male than the pretty lady that she was. She didn't often dress this way, anymore, but when it came time to work outside, she often resorted to her old pirating outfits. It was just something that helped her remember her former life as a pirate.
It had been nearly ten years since the woman had done any hard pirating, however. Her husband, Will, was still away doing his time on the seas. Their island had gotten lonely with just her son and she there, so she had picked up and moved to Tortuga. It was here that she opened a rather run down thrift store with various knick knacks and goods. It wasn't the most successful place, but it got them food on the table and kept her mind off things.
Except for today when it seemed that the seemed that the entire population of Tortuga had gone into hiding. She had taken it upon herself to straighten the shop up, but it was just too hot for that. So, deciding to check up on her boy. she locked the door of the store, switched the sign around and started down the street. It wasn't far from the bay, so she really just had to round a single corner and she could see. She didn't want it to be obvious that she was watching him, so she often just stood by the wall of the deserted shop at the end of the street, watching from afar. That was exactly what she would do today.

Even though it was quite bright outside, this place still had it's alluring and beckoning powers over him Tortuga the town that would always linger to a man and woman who came here. The instant smell of this place wafted through out the air, allowing the night breeze to carry it towards the port, the shore, any where that anyone would welcome the alluring smell. The darkness that did slowly creep over this place added to the atmosphere, and that was just what he liked. A mysterious, quaint, and of course often loud environment added to the amazing wonder that was Tortuga. He had just briefly docked here, leaving his first mate and crew on board to reorder and restock whatever needed to be done before they set sail once more for their final destination.
Jack had retrieved a map and a myth but was it true to it well there was only one way to find out wasn't it he was Captain Jack Sparrow and he knew if anything had a tale, a myth a story of somekind he would smell it out even easedrop a conversation, something to peak his interest, tickle his senses, push him to awareness of the mysterious unknown would always tick the captain. It is how he had searched through the treasure of cortez the aztec gold medalions, the heart of Davy Jones, and even, remarkably, the Fountain of Youth. Granted, he never ended up with much gain in the end, unless you considered his life and the reclaimed Pearl his awarded bounty for his service. On many of his adventures Jack had come a long way to get what he had earned, even losing the Pearl a few times here or there, and once being thrown into the depths of the Locker... perhaps his ideas were not always the smartest, but in the end they would work out... eventually. After all, he had his Pearl back, his life back, a few pieces of gold richer, and of course a new adventure to set sail towards... The Sandwich Islands and then to Atlantis.
Jack had heard many stories of this place, the legendary treasure that lay in wait on those islands were screaming to him, he daftly wanted to get there and be the first to rove through those hidden treasures, the secret that the missing ship greatly held at the costs of a few lives were driving him crazy, however, he had to look a bit more at his map before he set sail towards the Sandwich Isles and towards his new adventure and treasure. Speaking of his map, it had took him awhile to acquire said map having to sneak past a few guards of the Royal Navy, a bit of deception... all in a day's work for said Pirate. Fortunately, his hard work paid off... this time.
Jack now walked through the streets of Tortuga, listening to the merry mirth of the drunkards that littered the street. Occasionally nodding his head towards passer by as he made his way to the tavern. All he had his mind set on currently was his table in the back of the noisy, stuffy, smoke filled tavern, a nice bottle of rum before him and of course his map to help him decipher the necessary measures that would take for him to reach his treasure...
Jack was thinking all of this when he spotted a woman standing around a corner he layed in the sand with his hat tilted on his head eyeing her but he knew her "Elizabeth Swann" what was she doing here she was married wasn't she, Jack arose onto his feet and put on the boots he was wearing his white shirt and brown pants tied with black belt over his waist he touched his upper lip over his mustach and fixed the bandana and took off his hat for the lassi before him. Jack swayed his hips over to her and smirked a sly smile. "Well now what have we ere aye, are ye lost, ye need me help to resque one William Turner" "Ello Lizzie, what are ye doing ere me love aye....

Elizabeth leaned on the wall of the building, her eyes scanning the shore in search of her boy. He was such an adventurous boy; a boy with no real fears. He reminded her so much of his father; from his looks, his appearance, his personality, and his skill... he was just like a young Will. That was both a blessing and a curse, though. He was always running off, playing with the local pirates and the local stray dog and usually getting into trouble. It was hard to keep up with the boy.
But, her eyes finally spotted him down on the shore with an old barrow. A stray dog was wandering toward him, the one that he usually played with each day, and all seemed in order. She smiled lightly, watching him as he played. It was watching him that she knew she had made the right decisions. She had contemplated returning to piracy more than one time, but she had refrained because of her son. She wanted to return, yes. She even had some valuable information on the world's latest quest - Atlantis. But, she didn't think it was smart due to her son. So, she would wait.
Her mind momentarily drifted to this topic, zoning out from the world. She was so preoccupied that she didn't hear the footsteps as they approached her. So, as she heard a voice, she jumped. One hand on her chest, the other on her hip where she kept a sword as she spun around. It was only then that she realized that the voice was one all too familiar. A voice from her past.
"Jack?" Her voice nearly caught in her throat as she studied the man. He looked good, especially since it had been nearly ten years since their last encounter. She found issues answering his question as she studied him. He was definitely Jack, the same Jack she had known all those years ago. She finally brought herself to laugh as his joke, shaking her head in reply as a small smile graced her lips.
"It's been too long," She disregarded his question, deciding that the answer to that would take far too long and that she didn't want to explain it right now. Instead, she smiled a coy smile, raising an eyebrow. "I haven't seen you around Tortuga as of late." The thought of seeing him had crossed her mind a few times throughout the years. She had waitressed in a tavern off and on, worked various odd jobs. But, they had never crossed paths. She had heard stories of him through the local pirates. Something about a fountain, rumors of his death, rumors that he had settled down... rumors galore. But, she had never really known what truly had happened to him. Now, standing here with him so close to her, it brought back a flood of memories that she wasn't sure she wanted to resurface.
Biting her lip, she realized how much that statement made it seem that she was waiting on him, hanging around Tortuga as if she needed him. A nervous habit of hers, she shifted now, feeling the need to ramble - to explain - but also trying to refrain. "What brings you back? Are you on another adventure?" The first questions that came to mind, she couldn't help but ask. Jack surely had something up his sleeves.

The old captain listened to the words of the woman he once knew and he had spent some time with he did remember a one night at a tavern a decade ago he had used it in his advantage of seducing her after her husband Will Turner left to serve the Flying Dutchman for ten years and Jack Sparrow who was known of his womanizing skills as for beeing charming and caring when he wanted especially to someone like Elizabeth hearing her words he picked them wisely. "Let's just say i survived love, i am captain Jack Sparrow savvy? Jack could of told her what happened to him but then he would be telling something he was not allowed to talk about and leak the informations about how he escaped his last encounter with sertain latina Angelica Teach in L'A Martinique she almost killed him but she missed he had found the fountain of youth, Angelica had shanghailed him in her fathers service and he survived death itself but Blackbeard died. And now he was going to Sandwich Island's and then to Atlantis finding the last nine artifects that his mission where after. "How About yeself me love, i see yer alone ere or is yer son with ye aye, tell me Lizzie, where is yer husband i thought he had served the Dutchman already for ten years. Jack was just beeing honest in his dishonesty to manipulate her to come back with him on some treasure hunt he knew she missed it and her son he was welcome to be part of his crew so far he stayed out of trouble and did not disturb the men at their work around the ship. it was a good thing for a boy his age to be on a ship and learn from the sailors maybe Jack could teach him things or two but that was up to the lad's father not Jack Sparrow who had no children or wife. "Care to join me for a drink love, i am heading to the tavern now come come we don't have all day sweetheart savvy"

Elizabeth smiled at his words, a faint laugh escaping her lips at his words. Yes, he had clearly survived. He didn't just survive; he looked well. Elizabeth couldn't hardly tell a difference in the man. Sure, he had aged a little... but you could tell a lot less with him than you could with herself. Granted, she had been but a girl the last time they had spoken. Nineteen when they met, and only in her early twenties when they last departed. It was only natural that she matured. But, she found herself wondering if Jack had really found the Fountain of Youth or if he were just blessed.
And, of course he was the Captain Jack Sparrow. Elizabeth couldn't mistake that. The last time they had met, she remembered very distinctly. Will had been gone for a short time when Jack had shown up. She had been lonely, semi-depressed really, and was just of situations. So, she had been persuaded to visit the local tavern with Jack. And, one drink quickly lead to another before it seemed she could be talked into nearly anything. Not that she hadn't thought of it before; the rum had just quickly helped her into those thoughts and the see had let Jack seduce her.
But, the past was the past and she had to move on. His next words made her nod down the beach toward the bay where Young Will was now with the dog. "My son is down on the beach, by the docks. He's just like his father, Jack... always talking about pirates, wanting to become one." At the mention of Will, her gaze shifted uneasily. "He's due back any time now. He should be coming within a few weeks time."
She was excited to see him again, but also nervous. She was a mix of conflicting emotions right now, but that had always been a bad habit of hers. She needed to learn to relax. But, the mention of the tavern made her uncertain. "I don't know if a tavern is the best idea. You know how rum messes with me," She laughed, shaking her head slightly. Her gaze shifted to her son; he would be out there for hours and hours to come. A little time in with an old friend couldn't cause harm, she mused. "But... I suppose I could come along for a short time. But, only if you promise to tell me about your latest adventure." She smiled, deciding that a little bit of time couldn't hurt. Even with a home and shop on Tortuga, it had been years since she had been in a tavern. Maybe they had changed by now? Doubtful, but no harm in being optimistic.

"Ye want to know me adventures love Jack had to think about what he was going to talk about so he picked his words wisely. "Well after i lost me ship the Black Pearl to Barbossa me and me first mate Master Gibbs went after it but i did not find it again we tried for five years to locate it's anchor but without luck me compass did point to London and Master Gibbs went there by imself, then he got cought and thrown into prison of the Tower Of London, so aye needed to go there to resque im ye see, i did i pretended to be justice Smith it has worked for me before, i was able to save im, but got meself into service of another bad man, a evil man a captain so evil all pirates fear im, even the worst of men fear im, i feared him Elizabeth and it takes a lot to scare me love" i meet someone at the tavern where Master Gibbs told me somebody was impersonating me so i had to find who the imposter was it turned out to be one of me past love, er name is Angelica Teach her father is the captain i told ye about "Edward Teach Blackbeard maybe ye heard of him love, so i went to find the fountain of youth for them, during our path there we met some mermaids deadly women are dangerous like the devil fish they are, the fountain i found and i resqued Angelica and killed er father by given them water from the fountain then i marooned er on Sola Fide Beach and its been few weeks since i came back and got back me ship, and aye Hector Barbossa helped me out he got Blackbeards ship now that is me adventures since the armada with Lord Beckett and Davy Jones but now after getting back me vessel i am recruiting me crew i need a crew, loyal sailors to sail with me love. Jack wondered if she would be intrested of joining him but since Will was coming back he asked one more question. "Elizabeth, are ye happy, are you living the life ye want love "I have no regrets what happened between us in the past sweetheart it will always be a sweet memory within me it might never worked between us darling, but i had hope but after all i am who i am love a scalawag...Savvy

Elizabeth walked with Jack to the tavern, letting him lead the way to a table. She sat down across from them, her son coming to meet them for a little bit. After ordering just a drink for herself and letting Jack order the rest, she watched the waitress go and then turned to Jack. Her son sat restlessly as he listened to Jack's story, and Elizabeth found herself feeling antsy. She loved stories of pirates, growing up she had always dreamed of being a pirate. And, even now, she often found herself dreaming of the life of a pirate. She had gotten just a taste of it earlier in her life, and that was enough to change her ideal life forever. She was quite confident that if she didn't have such a young boy, she would be out at sea now, rather than living in Tortuga.
As soon as Jack was done telling his story, Elizabeth's mind came back to reality. It was hard to believe just how much Jack really did go through on each adventure. She wondered if he would ever settle down. Her son stood up from the table now, dismissing himself and wanting to go play pirates after hearing of Jack's adventures. Elizabeth nodded after him, letting him go. He knew to be back before it were late.
"Sounds like quite the adventure," Elizabeth grinned, watching as her son weaved his way through the crowds and on out of site. She shifted on her seat, leaning closer to the table now. "Are you off on another adventure, Jack?" Rumors of Atlantis had been stirring, and she had a feeling that Jack would be a part of that. Though, she could be wrong.
His next question caught her off guard, however. She was grateful her son had left at this remark. She didn't regret the night, no. She had just kept it under wraps. And... well, she really wasn't sure if she were happy or not. "Well, I like to think so." She bit her lip, shifting uneasily now. "I just-" She cut herself off, shaking her head now as she sat a little harder. "I am happy. I have a business, a home, my son... it's just not quite what I imagined. I have no regrets. It's just hard, I suppose." She shrugged, trying to answer him honestly without saying too much. She honestly wasn't sure how she felt.

Jack Sparrow was much enjoying himself right now seeing how he cought her off guard making her nervous, shaking bones and her feelings were very much shown in her facial expressions Jack had the ability of reading women very well and he knew with her expressions to his question she still felt feelings for him and he was going to use it into his advantage even seduce her later and tell her she loved the sea and beeing a pirate doing what she liked the most not beeing stuck on land when her husband was working for a sea godess. Jack hadn't heard nor seen William for ten years and he knew Elizabeth wasn't as happy as she claimed to be. He answered her question by smirking a slyish smile. "Aye, i am love and yes i have heard about Atlantis it is me who is spreading the word love, i am going to Shipwreck Cove to me father to set the fifth brethern court to call out the pirate lords and you me sweet lady are one of the pirate lords so ye must honor the code love, Jack eyed Elizabeth would she honor the code and the call she was curious about his adventures and about him she just didn't know it yet that she was much like him and Jack really felt time upon him to settle down with someone like her but she was lost and she was married to his friend he sighed "As a pirate lord and captain i will bring all the lords to shipwreck cove they will have nine pieces of eight and then i will discuss Atlantis and my mission of finding the lost city of gold and i need a crew me and Master Gibbs we can't sail me ship on our onies savvy. The captain watched the beauty before him Elizabeth hadn't changed the last decade she let his heart jump but he could not persuade her now but very soon he would do so.

Elizabeth felt a bit of relief as the conversation strayed from her current life. Jack did start talking about Atlantis, just as she had suspected. Her interest was peaked as he stated that he wished to get the fifth brethren court together over the cause. She was actually rather surprised. Did she have to go? Did she even really want to go?
She knew that she should go; she was probably required to since she had been elected . She really didn't know the rules, and she doubted very few of the lords did, either. It seemed as if Teague was the only one who really knew, as the keeper of the code. And, she mused, Jack probably did, too. He was the son of the keeper of the code.
She found herself shaking her head, a slight frown forming on her lips as she considered just what she would have to give up for this. "A fifth brethren court? Do you really think that you could get everyone to commit. I mean it was so hard the first time and..." Her voice trailed off, conflicting emotions resuming. She decided to change the topic. "But, you have certainly come to the right place for a crew. Tortuga is nearly the only safe island for pirates anymore. You're bound to find a crew." She shrugged, knowing what he wanted but deciding it best to not acknowledge it. She really did not know what she wanted right now.
But, as if to save her, the waitress brought two cups back. She sat them on the table and then left. They looked the same, so Elizabeth just picked one and took a sip. Rum. She scrunched her nose. She hadn't had rum in years and really wasn't sure how she felt about it now. But, oh well.

She had heard of the rules before. She had grown up doing much research on pirates. But, Elizabeth still wasn't sure. She knew that she wanted to sail again. But, she also knew just how dangerous it was. She had a life here now, with her son, and her husband would be returning any day. She had so much to compromise should she do this and she really wasn't certain that she could. But, at the same time, she knew that she needed to be there. She was a pirate lord now - the pirate . Her son was a Turner; if he couldn't handle it, how could anyone? Elizabeth just felt overwhelmed.
So, she simply nodded with his words, acknowledging that they were all true. She forced herself to sip her rum now, hoping it would take her mind off things. She very seldom drank, but this was as good of an occasion as any. "I have to think about it, Jack." She answered honestly at his question, a slight frown gracing her face. "I know what I need to do, but there is so much to compromise. I don't know if I want William exposed to all of this. I don't even know that I can handle it myself anymore, Jack. It has been ten years since I've even set foot on a ship. I'm hardly a pirate lord anymore."
Her words came freely now, speaking her mind. Elizabeth has always been good at that, and it certainly hadn't changed throughout the years. With a son now, however, she had gotten better at putting her thoughts nicely and more simply. The trait was still there, however, and she was clearly worried about this right now. She didn't know what to choose.

Jack shrugged off the feeling and looked into her hazel brown eyes "I will stay here for two more days love, come by the ship if ye change yer mind but remember ye have to honor the call Lizzie, ye must come and meet the brethern court aye savvy

Elizabeth knew Jack was right; she didn't enjoy it here near as much. She was more of an all or nothing type of person. She either wanted her privileged, wealthy lifestyle back from before, or she wanted the chaotic, adventurous lifestyle of a pirate back. Tortuga was sort of in the middle of those extremes, and she really wasn't happy here.
But, being as hardheaded as she was, she wasn't ready to bring herself to admit that to Jack. "It depends on the day," She stated, a small shrug following. She knew he was right and really had little to add without admitting that. Jack had her cornered, but she wasn't ready to admit defeat. Sometimes it just took her a bit longer to cave than it did most people.
She met his gaze a few seconds later, though, and felt herself ready to cave. Biting her lip, she merely nodded as she held his gaze. She slowly twisted her defiance from feeling cornered to a rather defiant smile. She had a feeling that she knew where she would end up a few days from now, but she wasn't ready to admit to that just yet, either. "And, if you should change your mind by then about this, Jack, I'll be right here in Tortuga." She broke his gaze after a few seconds, her focus now shifting to her rum. She knew that if she continued to stare at him, a rush of feelings and slightly drunken and haste thoughts would take over. A feeling that she wasn't quite comfortable with, but that also seemed to take over her every time she and Jack were together.

"It depends on the day,""And, if you should change your mind by then about this, Jack, I'll be right here in Tortuga."
Jack Sparrow wasn't quite happy with that answer but he took his bottle of rum and zipped on the branded drink feeling how it burned his throat he grimaced a bit and smiled at her holding her eyes to his "Well if that is yer final answer love it is not what i hoped it bebut like i said i be here for two more days to pick up suplies and lifestock, we have a long voyage ahead of us i also need more sailors onboard me ship and Lizzie i am not changing me mind about this love savvy
The Captain had almost got her to join his crew once more but he understood she needed time to think about it so for two days he would stay at the docks he waved the waitdress to come with more rum but before she did Jack was so bold but standing up and swayed his hips to Elizabeth where she was sitting he stroke his fingers down her left cheek then down her throat he leaned towards her and kissed her forehead then he went back into his seat and smiled a sly smile he cought her offguard now his time was about to start to manipulate her to come with him she had to honor the call to the waitress came with the rum bottle and handed it over Jack snatched it from her hands and smirked a bit.."Thank you love
